I think I'm loosing it or going through a bad patch but 5 tournies on the bounce I either got unlucky or played badly - not doing my confidence any good at all. I'm going to have a couple of games tomorrow if I get the chance and see if I'm still running bad or if I'm really just a really bad player.

Carrying on with the downward theme I've now dipped into negative overall - I tilted badly on a couple of games. sucked myself in with 87 when the flop came down 8K8 and came up against KK first hand to finish 10th. And again ended up all-in with AK on the flop KJ8 only to see the other players AA.

Day 230 ... Double disaster ...

Long and the short of it is ... I played too much ... and more importantly I tried to play too much looking over my shoulder while working on the poker site. I think I'm better off concentrating on what I'm doing and not trying to squeeze in playing poker at the same time ... Think I might schedule a luch hour and just play poker then.

First game finished 10th after first losing out with KK to 44. The next hand I make a preflop re-raise with JKs which hit ok on the flop but all went wrong when he turned over 23 off and somehow made a straight by the river - I have no idea how he called at any stage, on the flop he had 3 to the straight and needed runner runner. By the end of the session I was reduced to playing in a $1 SnG which scrapped me a 3rd place and 90 cents. That's about where my game is going to be for the moment ... big stakes or what.

What a complete mess - we'll back to square anyway ... I made a hash of two of them where I got impatient and came 4th instead of sitting it our for at least a place - in one I was set to get 1st but played it all like a muppet. I even ended up going all-in preflop with AK to go out first in one game - the guy did turn over junk but it was enough - and I should have known better than get keen with big slick that early on.

I really didn't do well on the luck front - getting all sorts of decent hands beaten by underdogs. OK I didn't play great but the crucial hands that I lost were with decent cards played hard and losing to weaker semi bluff hands. I've totally decimated my meager bankroll and I can see little hope of getting it back up tomorrow. I think I've got enough for 2 SNG's and then I'm going to have to play micro micro limit cash game with whats left ... I'm not terribly optomisitic as I should have managed to win some of the SnG's today and made progress ... It's a bad run but I've got to try and survive until I start to hit some form again ... working off the bonus from this low position will require a minor miracle.

Decided to have a bit of holdem in bed for a few hours - figured a change of scenery might do the trick and it's bee n ages since I've played at HoldemPoker. Little did I know I was going to get the same run of luck - I know exactly the hands I played and shouldn't have and I know I threw one game getting tilited badly on one hand and going into the next one but I really should have got in the money 3 times out of 4 and should have taken 1st in at least one - I don't think I played badly in the evening - ok the cash games in the day were a shambles but that's no suprise. After getting KK, QQ etc beat by junk the final straw was going all-in (4 players left) with a reasonable stack on the button with AK to steal the blinds - he called and turned over AJ which was ok - then he proceeded to hit his only out a Jack ... twice.

Day 226 ... Overall a good day ...

Decided today is play some poker Friday as I've been totally disciplined most of the week. The good thing about playing SnG's at Titan is that I can play and still work without getting caught out too often with someone making a sly play. The players there really are terrible all-in merchants and chancers - if there not then they are weak tight players so generally you don't get too many shocks. Patience and folding will get you near to the money which is great as I can actually work and just play the odd hand thats OK.

A nice end to the week and encouraging as I think I can reasonably profitably play whilst getting some work done too - I definately wouldn't be able to sit back and still get in the money at Holdempoker much tougher ... but thats fun too.
