We'll I guess that I'm still technically up $3 as I didn't deposit and played their free $10 down to 85 cents and the $15 was a freeroll, even so I feel like I should have done alot better. Royal Vegas is just so loose - in the cash games I just added to that statistic and in the SnG's I failed to capitalise on it and show some patience.

Bad Beat of the Day ... At Titan I got cheated out of 3rd place when I went in with AQ suited and got beaten by A7 unbelievably getting 659 on the flop and then 10 8 to make them a very backdoor straight.

Then at Royal Vegas I came an unimpressive 8th after calling some manaic who had been in every pot - I showed AJ he showed A4 and yep he hit a four on the river.

I'm really scrapping around at the moment, a couple of early bad beats didn't help but getting a 1st just about stemmed the flow.

Bad Beat of the Day ... Today I got my pocket KK's crushed twice, both times by the same hand Ace 9 first suited then offsuit.

First off I went all-in with KK and got called by A9 suited putting me a 67.1% favourite before the flop - on the flop everything went to pot as they hit and ace and a nine.

Second game I went out 10th on the first hand - I made a reasonable 3x pot raise pre-flop with KK and got one caller. Flop came down 10d, 2d, - so I wanted to get him all-in as I figured him for Akicker or high cards or a middle pair but not AA - OK if he had 10 10 then I was beat fair and square but I was reckoning on a strong hand but weaker than mine. The last thing I wanted to do was give him a free cards if he had 4 to the flush. So I raised just short of his all-in and he come over the top for all his money and I call. Nice I'm thinking when he turns over Ad 9o - He has only got an ace high and drawing with 3 diamonds to the flush. On the flop this makes me an very strong 82.15% favourite. His only outs an ace or hitting runner runner diamonds. Yep he then hits two diamonds on the bounce. I still cannot believe anyone would call a big preflop raise with A9 off on the first hand and even less so see the flop and think it's improved them. Even I wasn't playing such daft hands in the tournie at Royal Vegas.

Day 250 ... 200 chips to winner ...

The 4kingpoker Tour went to Royal Vegas Poker on Saturday and it was without doubt the most surreal experience I've had at a poker table. Starting with 61 entries and it was loose and crazy all the way. Within the first 45mins we had be cut down to 25. After a reasonable start I was in serious trouble and playing really tight. In fact I narrowly scraped in to make the final table with 200 chips. And this was where the fun (I use the term loosely) seems to begin. I'd continued to play tight but ultimately was going to have to make a stand at some point. All I can say was everytime I went into a pot it was for all my money ... and no matter what I came up smelling of roses.

If I went in ahead ... I won.
If I went in on a coin flip ... I won.
If I went in a dog ... I still won.

By the end of it I finished 1st sitting with 60,000 in chips and with a hell of alot of pissed players scratching their heads and reaching for the odds calculators (I recommend badbeatornot.com of course). I can only say I've never seen so much luck and I take my hat off to all the players at the final table ... thanks for putting up with me ... but it just goes to show with a chip, a chair and some lucky breaks you can win.

Not a great day but at least the results got better. Still frustrated as I really like Poker Heaven, it plays well and the players don't but it just doesn't seem to be coming together for me yet. Hope I can keep what little I have left going and start hitting some consistent wins.

Didn't play much today, but got unlucky not to get into to money on all of them really, lacked discipline when I finished 2nd instead of 1st with a massive chip lead and a bucket load of good cards and good luck. I'm really getting a mental block with Titan - I know the cards are playing out as random as anywhere else but the amount of bad beats I seem to be suffering is really messing with my head - I'm getting my made straights called all-in on the flop with single cards that hit on the river and just about any other combination of dogs beating me. It's not Titan but the players ... I do seem to be getting my portion of bad luck served up when I play there and my portion of good luck served elsewhere. And no getting away from it if your up against 5 idiots prepared to call your solid all-in the combined chances of one of the 5 idiots getting lucky is higher ... It's going to be cash games only at Titan the SnG's are just too random.

OK start, still kicking myself for not taking the add-on yesterday for the British Poker Open Qualifier but must move on. As my bankroll is limited at the moment I'm playing in the $3 SnG's until I've gone past the $150 mark unless I score a 1st and then its the usual move up until I lose routine. I'm hoping I can do similar things to at PokerHeaven as at HoldemPoker and work my bankroll up gently - I feel much more comfortable here than inter or indeed titan ( I think the mental side of this shouldn't be underestimated - If you feel settled at a table and not convinced your going to loose then that's half the battle ... that and folding all rubbish hands etc).

Day 242 ... British Poker Open Qualifier ...

I've just deposited $50 at PokerHeaven as they have a nice $100 bonus on any deposit and also have loose games & decent graphics. I'd promised myself if I could clear $20 profit while playing and working this afternoon I would enter the $20 re-buy tournie to win a $7000 ticket to play in the British Poker Open. I entered up and was playing really well, very tight and selective and in the early stage I was 2nd or in top 10 for first 50mins, unfortunately I got carried away with one hand and dropped 2000 from a healthy 5500 stack just before the end of the re-buy period. This is where I screwed up majorly ... I'd noticed that there weren't many re-buy maniacs so figured that I wouldn't buy the add-on at the end of the first hour - big mistake as everyone else went for it instantly leaving me short. I stuggled on for a while but ended up finishing 23rd ... shame really as the entry fees came no-where near covering the $7000 prize and having got through to the last 30/70 players it would have made sense to have a shot at 1st and made the add-on.

Ended up scrapping by at Titan but a couple of games came together and I've managed to get myself of the ropes at least for the moment - I really haven't had the kind of record I'd expect at the SnG's way too many bad beats and getting called and beaten by crazy plays. So I think I will now try to play only cash games and only at peak hours.

Back at HoldemPoker things are looking much more positive - I came 10th in one when I went all-in on the button with QQ to get called by 66 who hit trips on the turn. I've also cashed up at PokerHeaven $50 so this brings my total deposits to $600 so $50 per month until July. But in fairness my bankroll is in a mess, I need to make my holdempoker & pokerheaven accounts do well to make up for all the mess at the others ... and that is just to get square ... rubbish really.

Spent the afternoon up at the Cheltenham Races handing out flyers for 4kingpoker which was abit of an eye opener - With a gauranteed bunch of gamblers walking past you would have thought this would be prime recruiting ground for poker players ... but no ... It seems that horse racing gamblers are a very different breed ... which on more thought makes sense. Most of the punters are not interested in learning to play poker, they seem to appeciate it requires skill to win and are far happier throwing their money long term into the bookies pockets.

I'm just not playing particularly well, but the other players are pretty rubbish too so I should be winning but I'm not - the fact that I'm stuggling to see why worries me more - I think it's probably one or two hands where I slip up - but on such loose tables those one or two hands are all-in decisions and I keep either getting them very wrong or right and they get lucky ... guess thats poker.

I think I'm loosing it or going through a bad patch but 5 tournies on the bounce I either got unlucky or played badly - not doing my confidence any good at all. I'm going to have a couple of games tomorrow if I get the chance and see if I'm still running bad or if I'm really just a really bad player.

Carrying on with the downward theme I've now dipped into negative overall - I tilted badly on a couple of games. sucked myself in with 87 when the flop came down 8K8 and came up against KK first hand to finish 10th. And again ended up all-in with AK on the flop KJ8 only to see the other players AA.

Day 230 ... Double disaster ...

Long and the short of it is ... I played too much ... and more importantly I tried to play too much looking over my shoulder while working on the poker site. I think I'm better off concentrating on what I'm doing and not trying to squeeze in playing poker at the same time ... Think I might schedule a luch hour and just play poker then.

First game finished 10th after first losing out with KK to 44. The next hand I make a preflop re-raise with JKs which hit ok on the flop but all went wrong when he turned over 23 off and somehow made a straight by the river - I have no idea how he called at any stage, on the flop he had 3 to the straight and needed runner runner. By the end of the session I was reduced to playing in a $1 SnG which scrapped me a 3rd place and 90 cents. That's about where my game is going to be for the moment ... big stakes or what.

What a complete mess - we'll back to square anyway ... I made a hash of two of them where I got impatient and came 4th instead of sitting it our for at least a place - in one I was set to get 1st but played it all like a muppet. I even ended up going all-in preflop with AK to go out first in one game - the guy did turn over junk but it was enough - and I should have known better than get keen with big slick that early on.

I really didn't do well on the luck front - getting all sorts of decent hands beaten by underdogs. OK I didn't play great but the crucial hands that I lost were with decent cards played hard and losing to weaker semi bluff hands. I've totally decimated my meager bankroll and I can see little hope of getting it back up tomorrow. I think I've got enough for 2 SNG's and then I'm going to have to play micro micro limit cash game with whats left ... I'm not terribly optomisitic as I should have managed to win some of the SnG's today and made progress ... It's a bad run but I've got to try and survive until I start to hit some form again ... working off the bonus from this low position will require a minor miracle.

Decided to have a bit of holdem in bed for a few hours - figured a change of scenery might do the trick and it's bee n ages since I've played at HoldemPoker. Little did I know I was going to get the same run of luck - I know exactly the hands I played and shouldn't have and I know I threw one game getting tilited badly on one hand and going into the next one but I really should have got in the money 3 times out of 4 and should have taken 1st in at least one - I don't think I played badly in the evening - ok the cash games in the day were a shambles but that's no suprise. After getting KK, QQ etc beat by junk the final straw was going all-in (4 players left) with a reasonable stack on the button with AK to steal the blinds - he called and turned over AJ which was ok - then he proceeded to hit his only out a Jack ... twice.

Day 226 ... Overall a good day ...

Decided today is play some poker Friday as I've been totally disciplined most of the week. The good thing about playing SnG's at Titan is that I can play and still work without getting caught out too often with someone making a sly play. The players there really are terrible all-in merchants and chancers - if there not then they are weak tight players so generally you don't get too many shocks. Patience and folding will get you near to the money which is great as I can actually work and just play the odd hand thats OK.
