• Latest Poker News ... Poker Players Alliance fights to legalize online poker in US

The Poker Players Alliance, a group of more than 27,000 poker players, is fighting the legislation and working to promote and protect the game. They are is asking Congress to consider a rational and realistic approach to online poker that would create a regulated environment for people to play online - much like the regulations that govern traditional casinos.

The Poker Players Alliance supports regulation that ensures that the games remain safe, fair & honest and that dispute mechanisms are available. In fact, legislation has been introduced that would commission a federal study of online gaming to determine the full benefits of regulating and taxing it in the United States.

The United States is oddly out of step with the rest of the world where governments like the UK have passed laws permitting and regulating online poker. The Poker Players Alliance is actively supporting this as a sensible alternative to prohibition and so should you.

If you haven't done so already ... become a member of the Poker Players Alliance today. With your support, they can turn back Congress' efforts to ban online poker.

Help keep the tradition alive - both online and offline - and join the Poker Players Alliance. By joining the PPA, you can keep current on legislation on Capitol Hill, and speak out by sending an email or letter directly to your members of Congress. Together, we can tell Congress that putting the word "Internet" in front of poker should not tarnish this great American game.

• 4kingpoker Losses Update

I've been away working this weekend - well almost working. One of my nicer jobs of late spending a couple of days down on the coast taking pictures for a surf festival, so loads of sun, chilled out people & some cool local bands that were actually pretty good.

Titan Poker ... $50.34

$10 cash NL 0.10 ... $16.45 ... +$6.45
$10 cash NL 0.10 ... $13.45 ... +$3.45

$5+1 SnG ... 1st ... + $19.00
$5+1 SnG ... 8th ... - $6.00
$5+1 SnG ... 5th ... - $6.00
$5+1 SnG ... 10th ... - $6.00

$10 cash NL 0.10 ... $14.39 ... +$4.39
$10 cash NL 0.10 ... $00.00 ... -$10.00

$10 cash NL 0.10 ... $22.72 ... +$12.72
$10 cash NL 0.10 ... $00.00 ... -$10.00

$5+1 SnG ... 2nd ... + $9.00
$5+1 SnG ... 4th ... - $6.00

Titan Poker ... $50.34 ... +$11.01 ... total $ 61.35 (-$104.99)

Figures look a bit weird because I've popped $50 in Titan which I'm, not counting as it's for the Titan Series II prize money - just having a bit of a punt on it to see if I can work it up so there is a little left in there to play with after I've awarded the prize money. Had a rough ride all-in with my KK called preflop with JQ off and them floping two pair but so long as I don't duck under $50 then it's free money kind of.

Holdem Poker ... $100.83

$5+0.50 SnG ... 4th ... -$5.50
$5+0.50 SnG ... 10th ... -$5.50
$5+0.50 SnG ... 8th ... -$5.50
$20+2 SnG ... 5th ... -$22.00

Holdem Poker ... $100.83 ... -$38.50 ... total $ 62.33 (+$18.33)

It's all gone wrong at Holdem Poker, both games I got majorly beat with junk hands when I had KK, AA, KA in position etc so went proper tilty and jumped into a $20 game to avoid the mad players only to get sucked out in 5th - I'd played well until then but got stubborn on an ok hand but stuck with it when clearly the other guy had managed to make something from the junk on the flop ... really dropping badly.
