Unwisely I decide to sign-up in two tournies starting within 20mins of each other.
Day 41 ... $ 70-80
Randomly decided as I went to bed to play a couple of the bigger tournies - I'd really like to get better at them and although they take a chunk out of my bankroll I figure now and again won't do too much harm.
Rather unwisely I decide to sign-up in two tournies with 20mins between start times - a $ 5+0.5 (max 1000) paying top 20 places and the $2 rebuy $ 4000 frenzy (max 1000) paying the top 130 places
• $5+0.5 NL freezeout ... 30th / 296 ... - $ 5.50
Held on playing tight, made a bit with QQ and then after 45mins I'm all-in with 67 after the flop comes down 67J - get up to $ 4225 (39th).
Boosted again up to $ 8550 when my KK stands up ok against JJ was really tough call - I was pretty much committed with more than half my stack before the flop - flop came down A-K ... really tough call as I had put him on AA or AK maybe a lower pair but figured I had to go with trip kings - OK against anything other than AA and I needed to keep up the momentum.
On the hour again got KK and played them hard before the flop - 3 way all-in after the flop came down 6-- the first guy showed 66 but I'd stoked another bigger stack in so came out with a healthy side pot ($ 10000)
Lost out on a similar situation later with KK against 99 and dropped badly down to $ 385 - managed to survive and get back up steadily and was getting within sight of the money. Got dealt AA I was short stacked early position and so went all-in (about 3 times BB) figuring to at least steal the blinds or get one caller - which would have been fine - caller showed 99 ... flop came --9. End of story 30th place - ten away from the money - but really please with how I played.
• $2+0 NL rebuy $ 4000 frenzy ... 43rd / 1000 ... win $ 19.60 ... + $ 17.60
This started 20 mins after the $ 5+0.5 so it was never a great plan and I'm not sure how much playing two tables helped me or hindered me - in the end I got well into the money. 4 hrs of play to net $ 12.10 isn't anything to shout about but its a personal best for me - so I'm chuffed.
All-in AA early took me up to $2580. came unstuck with KA suited ($ 1760) and after 2hrs of tight aggressive premium hand only (well mostly) selection I was on $ 3416. Got nearer the magic 130 places and was hanging in for dear life - a couple of risky all-ins like 77 all-in on a 3 diamond flop one of them the 7d and I was just about in the money.
Ended up playing for another hour or so and finished 43rd.

On the up side it's the 4kingpoker series tonight.

Bit of a fix now - Ive only got enough left for one tournie if I balls it up then I'm left with $ 2.85 for a cash game - I think I might have to do it the other way round and try to get the $ 2.85 up to $ 5.50 to get 2 tournies and try and stay alive.
On the up side it's the 4kingpoker series tonight - our monthly friday night cash game. It should be a good one - near full table of 8 with all the usual suspects and a couple of the new lads thrown in - can't wait to get my table back up again.
Well I didnt really think that one out too well - went in cash game with the min $ 2.50 which left me short of the $5.50 needed for a tournie - getting nowhere fast so got out with $ 1.35 (-$ 1.05) waste of time I should have planned to do the cash if I hadn't got anywhere on a tournie - Dumb Ass.

Lucky Lucky Lucky - was very short stacked with 4 left in - madly I blinked and a 3 way all-in had been and gone and I found myself sat in 2nd with next to no chips but a 2nd place in the bag.

Now I figure I'm a favourite - flush draws I win so all I need to do is dodge any 10 or J - they made fairly good calls I guess but I have got AA

Ended up going in with A9 suited not great but found myself up against a loose call with 10 2 off - law of SOD prevailed as the board came up blank for both of us until the river - what comes up ? - 2

My best result to date on the freeroll - I dont think I ever got above 11000 in chips so I was pretty much just surviving - I didnt hit many good sets of cards but good solid draws and hands just enough occasions to keep going - I ended up down to enough for one bet having been played at very aggressively by the big stacks (nearly all of them) I decided I would need cards
everytime I went in it was going to be for all my chips.
Each round I was figuring to go allin with a solid hand and either get the blinds and keep just above water or triple up - My final bet was to be with QA suited mid position - got called by big stack with K9 - I had a chance but it wasnt to be -
flop came up --K and the 9 on the river sealed it

Fancied a bit of a change after my freeroll so entered this re-buy tournament - didnt re-buy until about 55mins where it went a bit wrong for all my money so re-bought - Everyone else had been rebuying left and right all the way through the first hour - didnt make much sense to me as the bulk of the 120 places paid $7 - 20ish, why re-buy more than your probably gona win ??? - lasted another 40 mins or so but struggling to keep up with the blind raises.
Ended up going all-in with KA suited got called by AQ and by A3 - At this stage I was fairly confident - I only needed to duck any 3 and any Queen and I could always hit a King or my flush draw - I certainly wasnt the underdog.
Yet you've guessed it the muppet with A3 off hit a 245 runner runner straight on the river - This game sucks.

While trying to put off the all too likely demise of this months PokerRoom cash I remember I've still got $20 ish in partypoker.
Long story short - I enter some SNG tournies - win the first one and bomb out in the rest - cash gone - the end
Must admit I'm glad to see the back of it - Yes the tables are full of calling stations and lame play but it isnt enjoyable software to use - back to my very short stack in Pokerroom I've got just enough for 2 $5+0.5 tournies if I dont scrap through then I'm on freeroll rations.

I end up a bit committed to my KK preflop then with an A-Q flop I was prob in trouble - managed to get out not too battered when another A came down but the guy I was up against had been moving in big preflop with A rag and sure enough thats what he showed - I wasted a big bet on the flop to find out. Short stacked I was trying to stay out of trouble to get a place and take it from there - but the other guy was doing the same so I had to make a move
88 comes up and Ive got position so all-in get called by AA - end of story

Got far too loose on the 1st & 2nd game, stepped up and got a nice 2nd place - Even though I was very short stacked when there was 4/5 left. Then it all went back to form.
Tonights 4kingpoker club game was a real battle for all of us, the game has started to get really good now - not a cash cow anymore, I'm really going to have to sort my game out and concentrate - I got stuck in the worst position between a tight aggressive on my right - "the professor" who really is getting good at betting on his draws, forcing me out a lot and Crazy Legs "Is it me ?" to my left - very loose maniac who just seems unreadable. After cashing up £80 I was glad to claw it back and finish only £ 16.50 down. Fatboy was in prime position following after the maniac but only managed to turn his profit in the last 30mins having been the underdog for most of the night. Crazy Legs / "is it me ?" got a bit of a knock down after his 70ish win in the 4kingpoker series

Got down to the last 4 with 340 chips left 300 went on the BB had nothin the table was playing very aggressive and figured one of two massive stacks would go in over the top - decided to fold - i would have lost the hand anyway - hoped it might end up with a few chips flying - sure enough they both ended up allin and I got 3rd by default - managed to win the next two hands automatically allin on the small blind and on the button then lost - just shows though - never give up
day 19 $49.70 +$37.60 total $ 87.30 (- $00.70)
Great couple of hours today - I'm 70 cents short of square overall - not like its much or an achievement in the overall scheme of things - but I feel alot better about it all - gets me some breathing space - sure that wont last long

Interestingly I just got an email from Partypoker to say Ive got a bonus $ 20 - Haven't got a clue why, I played it once, didnt like it and havent done anything since - still I'll have a look.
Played the free $ 20 up to $ 40 - Figured you cant cash it out until you've got more party points or something - and then proceeded to play it back down to $20 ish - I see why I dont play the site - Yes there are loads of fish but
call me spoilt but the software sucks way too much to want to play there regularly - And I like my mac - If only more sites wanted us mac users :-(

Started to double dip on tables not sure its a great plan but it seems to stop me playing too many hands if nothing else.
