Another frustrating day with only myself to blame, the second game I was forging ahead massively and then made a couple of stupid calls and just scrapped 4th. The game after I was up against it early on playing quite passively trying not to get dragged in ended up steady going down and ended up all-in with K10 suited when flop came down K9- he chucked over K9 and that was that.

Damn Telewest and damn my computer - between them they decided to put me out right in the bubble - 4 of us left in a SnG and one massive chip leader and the rest of use just hanging on with 1500-2000 ish and then - freeze - by the time I'd rebooted the broadband had given up and I was stuck unable to get back online for an hour or so - no suprise that they raped me for my cash while I was "away"

I've sorted out the $100 prize money for the 4kingpoker freeroll and at the same time deposited an additional $ 44 into UltimateBet - I think this is now my monthly deposit allowance for January 2006 - so much for the rules.

The UB site looks nice - very different to pokerroom.com but certainly not as old school as partypoker. Not sure when I'll be able to play there yet as I haven't got a PC to use at the moment - need to get that sorted by the time the freeroll comes up.

Still not learnt my lesson - thought I'd have a game first thing with a clear head - but downloaded emails and had far from a clear head and yet still jumped in. Being nearer my $220 break even is becoming something of a distant memory, at least my home games are going well.

Spent today going through and entering 4kingpoker details to just about every free directory I could find - not the most interesting day and I'm not even sure what good it will do - certainly don't think it will make a huge difference. Just getting my head round all this search engine stuff and it doesn't seem all that positive - the poker market is flooded - not that I didn't know that but I'm really going to have to look at this as a long term project. Feedback from other affiliates has been great overall but not so positive about my rather rash jump into organising a tournie so early into the life of my site - think I could be sat there on my own - even my home game mates are committed to stuff that weekend although they're more than impressed with the 4kingpoker bumper stickers - think they're angling for baseball caps next - fair play I'll make 'em into walking ad boards if they'll go for it.

Last night was the November 4kingpoker home game - Really enjoyable night, hopefully for all. We've upped the blinds straight from the start of the night which has made a huge difference in the way everyone is playing - more stealing, more preflop raises, alot more folding and thankfully alot less chasin' at the river.

I was doing ok, eventually getting some half decent bluffable hands, the first hour was painful - even 72 suited started to look like it something going for it. But after a while and alot of beaver cashing up I had built up to a healthy £ 140 ish from my £20 buy-in. The the wheel started to come off as I called fatboy's suspicious on the button £21 all-in raise to steal (or so I thought) a £10 pot - I called and worryingly crazylegs then called behind me - fatboy turned over a respectable AJ suited against my A10 off and crazylegs two paint cards ... needless to say fatboy won the day and clawed in a very nice £70+ pot. I got caught again a couple of hands later against crazylegs and dropped another £30 pretty soon I was sat looking at a depleated stack of about £70-80 while everyone elses (except beavers) stacks had grown. Anyway got back on in the last 1 1/2 and with the added blind increase to £1/2 (beavers suggestion after 2 pints) I managed to finish the night £135 up.

No chance to get any poker in - well not playing online - I'm really determined to put maximum effort into making 4kingpoker a success and I'm realizing that isn't going to happen overnight. Fortunately I've got the 4kingpoker home game later on so that should be a welcome break from endless form filling online and sorting out bits that need attention.

Well there we go conclusive proof that playing poker with half and eye on three other things doesn't work. Had a day away from 4kingpoker doing my proper job as a photographer ... really good day with a decent client taking shots of some really classy houses ... now I know where my money would go if ever I got to the final table of the WSOP.

4kingpoker seems to be getting some attention now which is cool - think getting a decent rank in Pokerlistings has helped and hopefully I can keep it growing with getting these member tournies up and running.

After having a mainly up day on the SnG tournies I decide to play a couple of cash games as I really need to sort out my fear of them online ... I cash up $12 in two games and manage to bust out of one after 20 mins and down to less than $ 6 in the other - after sorting myself out and being patient I manage to get the $ 6 up to $ 48 doubling my starting cash - do I quit ?
